Welcome to Business Innovators Magazine…Please introduce yourself and a brief thumbnail of your background.
MB: Thank you for having me. It is a pleasure to be here with you. My name is Mark Browser, I am an author of several books and have been a professional speaker and corporate trainer since 1993.
I grew up in a family business in Indiana. That is where I really cut my teeth in Leadership, Sales, and Customer Service. There is nothing like learning on the front lines.
Today, I am still involved with the family business, but also have the privilege of sharing what I have learned over the years in the form of books and seminars.
BI: What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?
MB: Well, let me put it this way: Sales are extremely important for a business. Keeping those clients loyal through impeccable customer service is also vital. But, the lifeblood of any organization lies within its leaders. Leadership is what keeps the car on the road. In fact, great leaders influence what road to be on in the first place.
If an organization has a good leader at the helm, it doesn’t matter what storms may be on the horizon. Through their influence, they will find a way to steer their ship to safe and prosperous harbors. It may take time and may not be easy…but, they will find a way and their passion, vision, and integrity will gain many loyal followers.
BI: How are you different than your competitors?
MB: I think any leader’s difference comes from their past experiences. Those differences become their significance to the marketplace.
I know for me, what I learned early in my career, even my leadership mistakes and trust me there were many, helped shape me into the leader that I am today. Because of my experiences, I have much greater influence today. That has given me a unique way of sharing those lessons learned through my books and seminars.
BI: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?
MB: Well, one of my most recent accomplishments is that my latest book “Sales Success” hit bookstores and online. It is a book that had a lot of moving parts. I wrote the story that weaves the book together as well as some of the content chapters. Then, we used our influence skills to persuade contributing authors to join the project. Contributing authors such as Tom Hopkins, Scott McKain, and the late Zig Ziglar. I am honored that this book is one of the last big projects Mr. Ziglar was a part of before he passed away.
BI: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?
MB: Character and Integrity! With these, success is right around the corner. Without them, success will crumble. Nobody, absolutely nobody, enjoys working with a leader they can’t trust. Where there is no trust, there is very little influence.
BI: What has been a key element of your success?
MB: People know I am a man of my word. My word is my bond. I may not always be correct, but people follow me because they trust me and know that I have their best interests in mind.
BI: What are some of the business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?
MB: Well, my family’s publishing house the Bright Corporation in Indiana is building an exciting future. I am honored to be part of the leadership team as we are structuring a foundation for tremendous opportunities for our customers. Stay tuned…the future looks very Bright!!
I am also excited about a book I am co-authoring with martial arts great Danny Lane. It will come out sometime in 2017. We aren’t sharing a lot of details yet…but, let me just say that it is going to be an exciting journey for the reader which will feel like your inside an adventure movie and riding a roller coaster at the same time.
