What are the biggest mistakes you see people make and how can they be avoided?
What I see most often with my clients who are all women over 40 is that they’ve been around the sun enough times to know that there’s no such thing as a Silver Bullet, or a Quick Fix. They’re not into the gimmicks, or phases, and they’re more interested in health for longevity and how they feel, than how they look. And yet, they are still carrying excess baggage and still giving too much credit to the Health & Fitness Industrial Complex, which is just as harmful as the Drugs Trade as far as I’m concerned!

So what I aim to do very quickly with my clients, is a massive Decluttering where I show them how to get rid of the ‘shoulds’, the ‘I read that this would be good for me’, the ‘a physio gave me these exercises 5 years ago’, as well as all the long-held compensation patterns, outdated coping mechanisms, or how you think polite society wants you to behave. This gives them a clean, fresh slate to go forward from, and it has a galvanising effect too, as they immediately feel lighter and brighter with renewed hope that what’s gone before does not equal what will come next.
How do you plan on further growing your business?
Good question. This current business model is fairly new, as I shut down my Pilates and Yoga studio at the end of 2020. And, I have to say, I’m loving this streamlined, ultra simple, extra lean business model for the moment, so I’m concentrating on great results and lots more training to get even better at my job, and we’ll see what the future brings.
