New Couples Retreat Offered by The Addictions Coach Aims to Help Those Who Battled Addiction and Their Partner Enhance Their Relationship

Dr. Cali Estes, The Addictions Coach and Founder of The Addictions Academy recently announced they have a new, hands-on Premier Retreat for couples who have been challenged by addiction within their relationship. Many couples feel stuck in a broken relationship and completely hopeless following addiction and recovery. This new retreat provides a way to mend relationships, while recovering from destructive addictions.

Dr. Estes explained, “Couples who have battled addiction often find themselves struggling to communicate with each other since finding a path to recovery. They may feel that recovery can help their relationship, only to find themselves continuing to be challenged.”

She continued, “This powerful retreat provides a “Deep Dive” into inner work and is designed to rejuvenate and renew couples and their relationships. They learn the art of communication and how to trust their partner again by rebuilding a safe space.”

This Premier Retreat is an intimate, hands-on experience, where couples will be immersed in exercises and strategies that they can implement in their lives when they return home. This real-life, never been done retreat is designed to not only heal the past traumas due to addiction and betrayal but renew and improve relationships like never before.

For nearly 20 years, The Addictions Coach has been setting the bar and defining excellence within the field of private addiction recovery and coaching services worldwide. What they offer is something truly unique, incredibly tailored, and simply unbridled by the traditional limitations seen in today’s world of addiction recovery and coaching support services.

Estes explains, “Our unique approach and 24/7 availability for our clients allows them to continue working, playing, and existing in real life situations, while we assist them with all areas of their lives. We come to the client and can appear on movie sets, at the office, at the event, playing field, playing court, tour bus, or travel wherever the client needs us to be. We even have our own South Florida retreat which features astounding comforts and privacy.”

Co-hosting the Premier Couples Retreat with Dr. Estes is Kevin Parker, a speaker, certified recovery coach, professional interventionist, author, and a trainer in recovery coach certification for the Addictions Academy. Kevin is a certified coach in many modalities and has trained with the top leaders in self-development. He uses all his training and experience to relate and serve the clients he works with as an addiction coach.

Parker states, “My life revolves around helping people create a life they love to live while being clean and sober and living with true purpose. This retreat could be the piece that renews relationships and will be life-changing for some.”

The demand for addiction recovery services is growing due to the recent increase in addiction to opiates, continued alcohol abuse, and the uptick in addictive behaviors such as overeating, video game and screen consumption, pornography, or gambling. The Addictions Coach’s programs work to service that need.

The New York Times recently reported in an opinion piece titled, “Experts Say We Have the Tools to Fight Addiction. So Why Are More Americans Overdosing Than Ever?” that more people are dying of drug overdoses in the United States today than at any point in modern history. The number of yearly overdose fatalities surpassed 100,000 for the first time ever in 2021. Halfway through 2022, the rate appears to be rising even further (the latest numbers come out to about 300 people per day, or 12 people every hour, on average).

A common byproduct of addiction and recovery is a swath of damaged relationships left in its wake, with primary relationships with a significant other taking the brunt of the trauma. For too long, families affected by substance abuse have largely been silent because of shame and stigma. Trying to repair damaged relationships on their own, couples often struggle and eventually give up when they can’t find a solution.

Dr. Cali Estes and The Addictions Coach are prepared to help those in need of help. In addition to the new retreat, they also assist with case management, sober coaching, sober companionship, life coaching, court reporting, drug testing, nutrition, cooking, assisting with household duties, and more. They are also equipped to address underlying mental health disorders such as attention deficit disorder (ADD), multiple types of depression, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders.

Dr. Estes concludes, “We will be teaching skills that will strengthen bonds and sustain a marriage or partnership for a lifetime. This never-been-seen strategy combines cognitive behavioral therapy, neuro-linguistic programming, relationship coaching, life coaching, and addiction coaching to create a combination so powerful, that it can overcome any issues couples might be dealing with. It can save relationships and make them even better than ever.”
