One person I work with teaches a class called ‘The Art of Loving Yourself’ and she would be comparable to a life coach. Most of those people market with crystals, kayaking, sitting on mountains, and being peaceful. Not that she is against any of that or doesn’t even do some of that but I wrote her a white paper that’s very fact-based and talks about what self-confidence is, what self-esteem is, and what kind of things you can achieve in your life if you have high levels of both. She can market to business owners and say, ‘Hey, is your self-esteem or your self-confidence suffering? If you don’t know what that is, here’s this white paper that talks exactly the definition of each of those, shows some signs of things that are going on in your life, if you’ve got low levels of either, then this is how you can fix it and raise those.’ These things typically happen for people that I work with and it’s not just her opinions, these are fact-based charts, graphs, all of that. She can hand that out and she goes from being someone wearing a flowing robe and carrying crystals in her pocket into having actual scientific-based thing that can help you do better in your business or do better in your career, and improve your life. It really boosts her perception as an expert in the eyes of her customers. That’s one thing I do, another is to bring in more leads for clients. And these leads are all warmed up and ready to buy – because they already know my clients are an expert in their field. Sales conversations are more based on finding out the details of working together than trying to sell the product or service.
And that’s the most important thing in the end for any business owner, bringing in more revenue.
