Izdihar: How did you start your Entrepreneurship journey?
Amber: My entrepreneurship journey started in 2017 when I decided I got that working a 9-5 job no longer served the pursuit of my purpose. I wanted the opportunity to express my own vision in the world.
Izdihar: Who inspired you to start your business?
Amber: I was inspired to start my business based on the idea of having the freedom to create my vision for my life based on what I wanted, and the difference I am committed to making for others.
Izdihar: What type of services or products do you offer?
Amber: Amber Howard & Associates offers consulting, coaching, training, and development services.
Izdihar: What is the best part of being an Entrepreneur?
Amber: For me being an entrepreneur is about the freedom to live a fully created life of my own design. The best part of being an entrepreneur is having complete say over how my commitment for humanity gets expressed in the world!
Izdihar: What is the most challenging part about being an Entrepreneur?
Amber: The most challenging part of being en entrepreneur is keeping so many balls in the air. At the beginning you have to wear so many different hats it can be a lot of work, and very lonely at times.
Izdihar: What are your biggest lessons about being an Entrepreneur?
Amber: Don’t go it alone. Look for partners, people who believe in what you are creating, and who you can create mutually beneficial relationships with. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, do a realistic gap analysis and look for areas where other’s can support you.
Accountability ensures success, make sure you have the right structures and support so that you are able to fulfil on what matters to you. Being a leader in your life and business means surrounding yourself with people who are committed to your success. Keep in your lane, don’t compare yourself to others. Keep your eye on what you are creating, what you want, and always stay grounded in all there is to be grateful for!
Izdihar: What’s your secret to balancing your family, business and ME time?
Amber: I don’t compartmentalize my life. Everyday I am on the court in my life, creating what I want as a leader, woman, mother, partner, and human being. It’s not about one area over the other, it’s about my own personal level of satisfaction, and the extent to which I am fulfilling on what I say matters to me in every area.
Izdihar: What’s 1 key action that anybody can take today to move closer to their goals?
Amber: Getting clear about what you want is the most important thing you can ever do. I’m not talking about what others think you should want or is best for you. We are talking about the courage to be completely authentic with yourself about what you want. You have a blank canvas, what will you create?
Izdihar: What are your top 3 advice to other Entrepreneurs/your niche?
Amber: Accountability ensures success, make sure you have the right structures and support so that you are able to fulfil on what matters to you.
