Clare’s journey began after experiencing more than a decade of routinely checking boxes and battling the system in mainstream education. She became burned out, seriously ill, depressed and eventually hit rock bottom. In an effort to discover an alternative to doing what she loved, teaching, in a way that made a positive impact, she launched her own well-being business in 2016, as well as an online programme and wrote her first book, How to Have a Positive and Empowering Pregnancy. Soon after, Clare started the Mind, Baby Soul Movement and ran her first ever public event, Loving Mothers.
In 2020, Clare’s passion for giving families the opportunity to learn about ways that unlock internal drive and potential, led her to launch “SwitchedON!” This online platform supports parents who are educating their children from home, either through choice or necessity. Additionally, her global Facebook community, the Home Education Hub, provides numerous free resources and a wide range of training and expert speakers. Wanting to support families and children on a new level, Clare collaborated with children and teens from around the world in the summer of 2020, on a writing adventure to produce the book, Lollipops and Rainbows – Teaching Literacy with Soul.
