2019: The Year of Joy

This Article Sponsored By

As I walked my clients through the aftermath of grief, after suffering some emotional heartache or loss, I respected the individual journey that each one had to take amidst a constantly changing world.

I encourage my clients to find a deep anchor of “Faith in the Mourning” (more on that in our August theme) by claiming a sense of faith in something or someone that is greater than themselves. Each one comes to realize that the only real sense of peace that they can truly rely upon is that deep inner peace that must be cultivated by connecting to oneself; from the inside out and to one’s own perception of a Divine Creator. It is these topics I will delve into with our March article: “Peace in the Mourning.”

Carol: Before we go today Karyn, how do you reconnect to your own sense of peace, faith and optimism when you are going through your personal battles?
Karyn: I have had a morning meditation practice since I was fifteen years old. I encourage each of my clients to express their true, honest, raw emotions in what I call a daily “scripting” (journaling process). Each client discovers that by setting aside time for deep introspection, coupled with meaningful meditation, they are able to feel more grounded and connected to themselves before entering the world each new morning.

Carol: What a wonderful way to continue on into our day today and into our February article: “Pure Love in the Mourning!”

Thank you so much again Karyn. At this time, is there anything else you’d care to share?

Karyn: Self-Nurturing and cherishing those we value is becoming a lost art. Offering a listening ear and extending a loving hand is a precious commodity in today’s world of electronics and social media. Compassionate, therapeutic touch is necessary for not only the elderly and children, but most all living beings in his world, especially today. I just want to bring relief to a world in need of remembering……love, peace and joy.

Interrupted…. At this moment, Karyn received a text from a client asking, “If you have time, please call me. My friend’s little 20 month old nephew just died totally unexpectedly. Is there a song you can think of to play for her to give her comfort?”

Carol: Oh, my goodness Karyn, how tragic and yet how amazing! Just got the chills. It’s what we were just talking about. Such an example of the unique way your songs have come to be and how those who have come to know you and know of you reach out to you for comfort through your music and work. How touching; how impactful. This truly is unique and by far is “your signature” combination of your songwriting, music and work to help so many find peace, love and joy.

I am so overly joyed that we are working together to offer a global “year of joy” to so many!

Karyn: I, as well. I will go and pray to be able to write a new song to bring comfort to this mother. There is nothing like a song written specifically for a broken heart, to bring a blanket of comfort during crucial times. I have written thousands of songs, but there are times like these when you just need one more song and it needs to come straight from heaven!

Coming up in February: “Pure Love in the Mourning.”
