We recently had a chance to speak with Mary and asked her the following questions:

  1. What prompted you to obtain your WBENC certification through WBEC-West? 

MaryIn this competitive world you really need to research and take advantage of every opportunity at your disposal.  I found this to be a great way to get involved with like mined female entrepreneurs to help educate, inspire and motivate each other to excel in our professional lives.

  1. Since being certified, what benefits have you/ your business experienced? 

Mary: We have benefited from several virtual courses that WEBENC have produced and currently leveraging the buyer diversity programs put in place by big retail chain stores. As well as advertising it on our website and social media accounts.

  1. How do you useyour certification?  (i.e., through online marketing, social media, print media, website, business cards, in stores on my product, etc.)  

 Mary: We use it on our website and social media campaigns as well as taking advantage of the supplier diversity programs with big box retail chains.

  1. What advice would you share with a fellow Women Business owner who are looking to become WBENC certified? 

Mary: I highly recommend to every women entrepreneur to become certified ,this program provides significant opportunity, whether financial, educational , mastermind … everything that you need to succeed
