Ambrose & Salazar Publishing Launches Search For Local Visual Artists To Be Featured In A New Book Project
Patrick Mejia, CEO of Ambrose & Salazar Publishing, confirmed they have officially launched a search for local visual artists to be featured in the upcoming book, “The Visual Artist”.

Explaining the search process, Mejia, said, this is an important project for us, we are reaching out to a select group of local artists we feel are true advocates for the success of young students in high-poverty schools. While at the same time, we’re committing to spread the word about a great organization like Donors Choose and to help the teachers that use a part of their income to fund class supplies and school field trips.

DonorsChoose.org was founded in 2000 by a high school teacher in the Bronx. They have been helping teachers and students all over the U.S. by collecting public donations to help purchase regular school supplies like books, pens, pencils, crayons, paper, and art supplies. They also help to fund class art projects and field trips. To ensure integrity, they vet all requests, purchase each item, and ship materials directly to verified schools. DonorsChoose.org has the highest ratings in Charity Watch, Charity Navigator and Guidestar.

Ambrose & Salazar Publishing has pledged all of the proceeds from the retail sales of the book to be donated to DonorsChoose.org.

The book is scheduled for an early February release and will spotlight each of the visual artists selected from this search.

Mejia said that the book is about featuring local artists that would love to share the beauty of their artistic work with the local community while helping to fund educational programs for young students.

The artists we select are passionate about helping underpaid teachers, young students in high-poverty schools. Also, this is an excellent opportunity for artists to showcase their artistic works. We believe that this book project is a win for all involved.

Mejia went on to describe the book project as a powerful resource for consumers to discover local talent and in turn, that they would be helping to fund school supplies and class art projects.

We anticipate a lot of exposure around this project for both Donors Choose and the people we select to feature in the book.
