Author, Speaker Victor Escalante Discusses Overcoming Self-imposed Limitations

Tracy: Hello Victor, thank you taking the time to be here with us today. This is a topic I know many of our audience members struggle with. To start off, could you tell us a little bit about your company and what you do?

Victor: Certainly! I founded Escalante Training and Consulting to help people who are struggling to overcome self-limiting beliefs that are holding them back. I can help anyone overcome a limitation that isn’t physical or organic.2015-12-03 13.27.33

Tracy: That’s a huge topic that could probably fill several episodes. How did you get started in this field?

Victor: One time I had a close friend of mine that told me about a very difficult problem she could not overcome. She had already gone to the experts and they could not help her. I told her let me try an intervention on you about a new technology I’m just learning. I did the intervention and afterward, she reached in her purse and paid me $300 cash. She said I can feel the problem gone the value to me is much more than this but this is a token of my appreciation. In that moment I knew I was destined to help people.

Tracy: Was there a specific moment when you knew you should build a business around this?

Victor: I was invited to be on a radio show and talk about what I did. We had two callers ask me questions, one ended up asking me for personal coaching. This led to a very successful career in media. If you have a viable business I can coach you to have exponential growth. I once had a client ask me if an advertising campaign I had designed was going to work. I said I don’t know all I can do is do everything within my power to cover all the bases. He called me on a Sunday at home to tell me he hated me because the campaign was so successful he had to hire extra help and restock his shelves. I knew I was on to something.

Tracy: Do your clients tend to share a particular problem?

Victor: The problem I see most often revolves around stale sales from advertising strategies that don’t work. Having a demotivated sales force or a lot of internal strife from lacking a formal structure.

Tracy: I imagine there are questions you are asked all the time. What’s the most common question people ask about your work?

Victor: The most common questions I get asked are: 1. Have you ever done this type of project or intervention? 2. When can I expect to see results? 3. How soon can you start?

Tracy: It’s easy to see that you have a lot of passion for your work. What do you do to refuel that passion and keep yourself going?

Victor: I am an award-winning photographer and a voracious reader. I also love to cook and to travel.

Tracy: Talking with you today has been a real treat, you’re doing a great work and it was enlightening to get a glimpse of it. To end, could you leave us with a bit of advice for people who might be struggling with a limitation they want to get past?

Victor: Of course, I would encourage them to read my articles and my soon-to-be-released book. It’s also important to consider the elements of a successful strategy other competitors or persons like them have used before. Model that and the results are guaranteed.
