INTERVIEWER: And you helping her secure and revive her business will affect generations of her family to come.
JOHN MAUTNER: Yeah, which is actually—her sons now want to get involved in the company. It’s interesting. Somehow, I don’t know what I’m doing but I feel like I am—the trajectory of these people is being pushed in a small degree and over time, they’re in a totally different place.
INTERVIEWER: What thought would you like to leave prospective business owners with in regard to the work that you do, and the help you can provide a company?
JOHN MAUTNER: I want to give them a framework and a set of tools that they can use for the life of their business. Once they learn these four steps that I teach them, they can use them for decades to come. It becomes a philosophy and a way of life inside the company, and how they run their businesses. Again, teach them to fish so they can feed themselves forever.
