Welcome to Business Innovators Magazine…Please introduce yourself and a brief thumbnail sketch of your background.
MW: My name is Maxwell Witt, I am a recent graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Business Management. My passion lies in innovation. Ever since I can remember, I was constantly brainstorming various innovations to solve everyday problems both big and small. I always saw myself as an entrepreneur, wanted to be my own boss, and wanted to make a difference.
BI: What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?
MW: I am very passionate about combining innovation with business. With the technology available today, I see endless opportunities to develop further ideas to better our lives. That is what inspired me to start the project that I am currently working on with Integrate.
BI: How are you different than your competitors?
MW: The three big things that we are doing to set ourselves apart are: seamless integration of all important educational applications into one easy to use platform, blocking out all outside distractions, and lastly, using state of the art artificial intelligence to provide a customizable learning experience for students and data analytics for educators.
BI: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?
MW: I am most proud of working with Gerard Adams (serial entrepreneur, millennial thought-leader, and angel investor) the co-founder of Elite Daily, as his apprentice. I have been working to develop his new startup Fownders, a non-profit incubator in Newark. Working closely with him as taught me so much about business development and many other skills which I feel will transfer to the development of my company. Also, working for Gerard has given me a vast network of entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors.
BI: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?
MW: Accountability. A leader that understands accountability knows that they are also responsible for meeting deadlines, not just their employees. They are very quick to help their employees when needed and pick up the slack. This is a much more complex and rare quality that comes quickly to natural leaders.
BI: What has been a key element of your success?
MW: Without the support of my friends, family, and coworkers I would not be where I am not. It was big for me that other people believed in my idea which encouraged me and kept me working and developing my product.
BI: What are some of the business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?
MW: We are very excited about integrate because of the impact it can have on so many people’s lives. Integrate will change the way we look at education in the future, impacting all socioeconomic backgrounds, and education levels. We plan on doing this by increasing academic standards through a customized student experience while making teaching more efficient.
BI: What are 1 or 2 things you would like to say to a prospective client who stumbles across this interview?
MW: By being one of the first schools to adopt our software, you will be a part of a revolution that has the potential to redefine education in America forever.
BI: To wrap this up, what are you most excited about in the upcoming months in your business?
MW: We are very excited to continue growing and contracting with more schools.
