Tracy: What are two or three most common questions your prospects ask?
Alanna: I’m often asked why I began a pet sitting business. I have always had a great love for animals, large and small. I’m the one who leaves the party to pet and sing to the cows outside; the one who gets up at 5 a.m. to feed a colony of feral cats.
I left working in the corporate world as a people manager and training instructor because I wanted to build a business around my passion. PawHaven gives me that opportunity, every day.
Potential clients often ask, why should I pick you to care for my pets? As an avid pet lover, I have lived with and cared for a variety of pets for more than 25 years. From miniature painted quail to gopher snakes, to domestic cats and dogs, I’ve enjoyed raising them all. Tracy: What is the most common “Do It Yourself” solution your prospects might try?
Alanna: The most common do-it-yourself solution most pet owners try before turning to a professional is having a neighbor, friend, or family member care for their pets while they’re away.
Tracy: Why would working with a professional, like you greatly improve their chances of success?
Alanna: When you have a neighbor, friend, or family member care for your pet, there’s no guarantee what they will do for them, or how dependable they’ll be. You can only hope they will give your pets what they need, or you might need to nag them into giving them the care they need until you return.
