Interview with Michela Quilici, Founder and CEO at MQ Consulting and Business Training, Inc.

Starting a business is a big achievement for many entrepreneurs, but maintaining one is the larger challenge. There are many standard challenges that face every business whether they are large or small. It is not easy running a company, especially in a fast-paced, ever-changing business world. Technology advances, new hiring strategies, and now, political changes coming with the new administration, all add to the existing business challenges that entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives have to deal with.

Maximizing profits, minimizing expenses and finding talented staff to keep things moving seem to be top challenges for both SMBs and large corporations. We have been interviewing companies from around the world to discover what challenges they are facing in their businesses. We also asked each company to share business advice they would give to a younger version of themselves.

Below is our interview with Michela Quilici, Founder and CEO at MQ Consulting and Business Training, Inc.:

What does your company do?

As a Management Consultant, Business Growth Coach and Marketing Consultant, I work with organizations to help them grow.

Depending on the size of business and the stage of their life-cycle, I bring diagnostics, strategies, proven tools and done-with-you coaching, consulting and accountability in the areas of Marketing & Sales, Operational Systems, and People & Leadership.

What is your role? What do you enjoy most about your role?

I’m the CEO of MQ Consulting and Business Training, Inc. It is the greatest gift to be able to empower service professionals to authentically market and strategically grow their business with purpose and confidence. With a relentless passion for helping businesses be seen and heard, I navigate mission-driven entrepreneurs and business owners to achieve game-changing success, while building a business aligned to who they are.

What are the biggest challenges in your business right now?

My biggest challenge at the moment is determining how to leverage my business to reach a global marketplace. Developing the most appropriate programs and delivery systems while working in a location-independent business is top of mind this year. The world is a big place and stepping outside of the comfort zone of your geographical location breeds fresh perspectives, new ideas and collaborative opportunities. It is never easy to step outside of your comfort zone, but being in your unknown zone is precisely where change happens.

If you could go back in time, what business advice would you give to a younger version of yourself?

You know more than you think you do. Trust your instincts and in your own knowing, and allow that to be your compass. At MQ Consulting and Business Training, Inc. it is too easy to get caught up in the next shiny object or the hype of what the mainstream is thinking and doing. Following the masses and giving up your authority to others is a fast track to mediocrity and the end of innovation. At MQ Consulting and Business Training, Inc. we believe that what the world needs is less tolerance for the current state of affairs and more authentic leadership, in order to make a positive contribution to move the human race forward in the right direction. Be seen, your presence matters. Be heard, your words matter. Speak the truth; the world demands it.
