MH: I am an Independent Certified John Maxwell Team Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker. I am the Principal of Mind Growth Matters [mindgrowthmatters.com], and we deliver industry leading personal growth and leadership development programs from The John Maxwell Team, and our curriculum was developed by the #1 leadership expert in the world, Dr. John C. Maxwell.
I am a seasoned corporate professional with strong business acumen and tremendous entrepreneurial spirit, who has a great passion for serving others from the heart, being a servant first leader, and providing exceptional service delivery designed to help others realize their full potential.
I possess developed skills in corporate leadership, business & operations management, business development, coaching & mentoring, leadership & career-path development, as well as customer experience delivery, and I constantly strive for flawless execution and performance excellence.
BI: What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?
MH: I am most passionate about the people development industry and serving others in a capacity that allows them to realize their full potential.
The reason I am passionate about serving others is that I get tremendous joy and great personal satisfaction out of helping others come to terms with their fears, overcome those fears, develop the courage to step out of their comfort zone, and find their purpose and passion in life, allowing them to lead the life they desire. The passion is evident with having such an extremely rewarding, gratifying, fulfilling and honorable career.
BI: How are you different than your competitors?
MH: I believe what separates me from others in my field are a few different characteristics. First, I am a unique, caring and sincere individual, with a creative mind and upbeat personality, who thrives best when helping others.
I have an innate ability to connect with others on a sincere, emotional level. This I believe is due to my genuine desire to help others become unstuck in life and achieve greater levels of success, as well as enjoy a purposeful life where they feel what they are doing truly matters.
Of course, I serve from the heart. My purpose and passion come from a deep desire to truly help others find the right path for them to travel in life. It’s such an honor and privilege to be able to support others on their journey to greatness, and I believe this is because it took me over 50 years to finally find my purpose, and I sincerely know how difficult and unsatisfying life can be when you are stuck in life with a feeling of hopelessness. Therefore, I am grateful for the opportunity to provide hope to others, and to do something in my life that matters, at a time that matters, for people that matter. I simply love engaging, exciting and empowering people, so they too can have a sense of self-worth.
BI: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?
MH: The most recent business accomplishment for me was becoming a Certified John Maxwell Team Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker, after a long coaching, teaching and business management roll in the contact center, customer care industry. The reason this is such an important accomplishment that I am proud of is quite simple… This certification, and my partnership with the John Maxwell Team has changed my life dramatically, because it has given me the knowledge, courage and vehicle to do finally what I am on this earth to do, and it has provided me with the tools, support and guidance that is allowing me to live out my life’s purpose where I can make a significant and profound impact on our world, and provide guidance and support to the thousands that are desperately seeking what I now have… and that’s a purposeful mission to carry out.
BI: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?
MH: The leadership qualities I most admire are many, and in my humble opinion these are the foundation for great leadership and are certainly necessities to be an influential leader, and these qualities are honesty, integrity, respect, thoughtfulness, caring, encouraging, supportive, appreciative, as well as intuitiveness.
As my mentor and friend, the great John C. Maxwell says; “Everything rises and falls on leadership.”, and; “Leadership is influence. Nothing more, nothing less.”
Without influence, you are not really a leader, rather just a manager of people. True leaders have the qualities and character traits I’ve indicated, because without these qualities and character traits people simply won’t follow, because without any of these qualities you simply can’t influence people, and no great leader in history has ever walked the earth without having influence over others.
BI: What has been a key element of your success?
MH: I believe success requires more than one key element, and the keys to my success would be ongoing personal growth and leadership development, as well as practicing the leadership qualities I spoke of earlier, and doing so on a daily basis. Of course having a deep desire to always perform at the absolute highest level possible at all times with everything I do, which also means leading by example, being dedicated to my craft and career, but mostly, the most significant key to my success is perseverance.
