I have been knocked down and have failed many, many, many times in my life… I’ve failed in school and became a grade 9 high school drop out at one point, before going back to high school and on to college starting at age 30, and then I’ve failed in business, in my career, as well as in relationships, and even though I may have had to take some time to heal my proverbial wounds and overcome these failures, I’ve always found a way to get back up again, and again, and again, because my desire and perseverance would not let me give up on myself and my dreams, so I continued to move forward because I simply refuse to lose, because failure is NOT an option!
BI: What are some of the business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?
MH: The project I’m currently working is ‘Donate to Educate’, which is a program designed to offer complimentary admission into personal growth and leadership development educational workshops as a gift to those who generously support charitable community partners aligned with my company, Mind Growth Matters.
The name of the project pretty much sums up the concept… Donate to support community causes and in turn, we offer industry leading educational content that will add tremendous value to the participants while the ‘Donate to Educate’ program and all participating parties add tremendous value to the community and local charities.
I am extremely stoked about this program because it is allowing me to participate in giving back to the community, help support others in need of personal growth and leadership development, and more importantly we can collaboratively contribute to those being served with the funding generated for these worthy charitable causes. This project also affords me an opportunity to participate in another passion of mine, thus making my journey even more fulfilling, intentional and significant.
BI: What are your Purpose, Passion and Vision Statements?
MH: My Purpose Statement: Through my heartfelt compassion, enthusiasm and authentic desire my purpose in life is to help people grow, develop and evolve, so they can perform at their highest level possible, thus allowing them to achieve their personal goals and career aspirations.
My Passion Statement: I truly love helping people overcome their fears, step out of their comfort zone, and realize their self-worth so they can reach their full potential. I am also excited about and thoroughly enjoy igniting passion in myself by adding tremendous value to others.
My Vision Statement: My vision is to help thousands and thousands of people across the globe to achieve greatness by engaging, exciting and empowering them to rise and live a life of intention and significance, where they can then live out their life’s purpose of helping others realize their life’s ambitions.
BI: What are 1 or 2 things you would like to say to a prospective client who stumbles across this interview?
MH: If you are struggling in your career, and you are desperately trying to find a way to grow, evolve and advance, there are solutions and options for you to accomplish this, and I have the tools, training, education and experience to help you overcome these challenges and fulfill your career goals and aspirations.
If you are stuck in life, on a personal or career level, and you are doing something you simply are not passionate about, or what you are doing does not give you a sense of purpose, then I can help you find that purpose so you can live out your life’s mission, because I know first had that being unfilled in what you do is a terrible place to be in life, so I am committed from the heart to helping you realize your purpose and live out that purpose.
And finally, I am extremely passionate about helping people overcome their fears so they can step out of their comfort zone, realize their full potential, and achieve greatness, and if you are paralyzed emotionally with fear, I would be honored and privileged to help you in any way I can, adding value to you every step of the way…
BI: To wrap this up, what are you most excited about in the upcoming months in your business?
MH: What I’m most excited about, and I want to highlight at this point that’s a key area of focus for myself and Mind Growth Matters is getting involved in youth development. I have an incredible passion to help the youth of society to ensure they are fully prepared and ready to enjoy amazing success early in their careers as they enter the workforce.
I believe the development must start while young people are still growing, and therefore, we are working behind the scenes to develop opportunities and programs that will allow us to support youth with their personal growth, as well as leadership development. There are projects in the works that I am not at liberty to discuss at the moment, but these are very exciting programs that are going to make a significant and positive impact on today’s youth… So stayed tuned for more on that later in 2016 and beyond.
