It started with 6 Hour Social Media Networking Event where Solopreneurs, Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners meet each other socially with an introduction about themselves and their business and get to know each other on their social media platforms while I trained them as a social media strategist in social media tips. I charged $10 and held it in a 1.7M property with a catered lunch.
Today, I have sold one franchise in Marietta, Georgia to Genevieve Small, a social media client that I have had some time. It was the first call I made to offer anyone the opportunity to franchise. The work is in place right now to teach her the curriculum and set her up for success as a franchisee.
The offer I have is that Social Media Lockdown Franchise are offered for $5,000.00 and the price is expected of course to raise as the community of participants do.
Tracy: What is it you can look a business owner in the eye and say “I can help you” and how did you discover this magic?
Preston: I discovered that magic when I realized that after creating my own products and sold them digitally online, without a web site and only through social media channels, I mean not even with an Email list that I could help others to do the same through joint ventures. The magic started when what I was doing turned out to be something that others wanted a piece of.
I always tell people that it is best that you create your own products and market and sell them in your own self-contained system before you start offering to share through joint ventures. I also advise them to have a good solid contact and if possible an attorney on retainer to protect them from any problems that arise in fulfillment of the agreement.
I don’t do joint ventures anymore, I think the term is outdated as the work advertising. I call the people I work with “Vendors”, and I don’t have any complicated contracts or expectancy to deal with. I just get my commission from them and when I identify the trust is broken, they are weighed, measured and sold to the lowest bidder. There are thousands of people out there that once they learn about my business model will be making higher than usual offers of commission to me based to the fact that the entire audience will be their target market.
Tracy: Anything else you want to add family, hobbies, etc.
Preston: One of my hobby is reading the books that my clients publish. They are also enjoyed by the guest at the Bed & Breakfast that another one of my clients own. My office is also located at the Bed & Breakfast which offers convince of accommodations for you out town clients remarkably a very pleasant business trip to Houston.
Another one is listening to interviews of inspiring speakers, learning about them and turning it into a learning experience for them about themselves.
