Savvy Schmidt, Owner of RadioLuv.com Helps Entrepreneurs Succeed in Radio Advertising & Positioning

Ken:     You were ready to take advantage of that opportunity when it came about.

Savvy:     Yeah, exactly.

Ken:     Somebody else that wasn’t as far along as you might not have been, and wouldn’t have taken advantage of that door opening to them.

Savvy:     It’s funny you said that because I started my show about 8 years ago and it’s kind of latent, it’s on the side.  I did it regularly for a while but mostly it’s been in the backdrop until now, as I’ve said, I’m under consideration for mass distribution, but that’s a separate thing.  However, that’s funny, because I stepped out of the limelight a little bit to focus on Radio Luv and to bring people into the limelight instead. In fact, one of my new slogans is, “The next thing I’m launching is you.”

When I bring hosts on, we build their show from the ground up.  I want them to be part of the limelight, even more so than me.  I feel like the mother of all of the stuff and it makes me really happy in my heart when they succeed, so my own star took a backseat.

When the Motley Crue thing happened and then there’s the focus back on me, I’m like, “Well that’s a happy happenstance because I had tucked away my own star because I’m launching these other people.  To me it feels a little bit funny to step out in the limelight because I feel like if I step out, I better have some kind of skills to show people.  I know a lot of DJ’s out there that sell on a physical level and that’s so not what I’m about.  If you go to my Facebook, the few newest pictures are me modeling some clothing for a company.  People said, “Put more pictures up.” I said, “I need to have something to model, otherwise I feel funny just taking selfies,” because I’m just not that kind of person.

Anyway, it’s funny that I’m going on the Motley tour because now all this focus is on me as the interviewer and then also growing my show.  Like I said, my heart is more in making people grow with their business; that’s why I do that more than my show.  That’s why I focus more on that.

Ken:     If someone’s interested in talking with you more about how they might grow their own business or position themselves in radio, how can they reach you?

Savvy:     They can reach me at RadioLuv.com, that’s Radio L-U-V.com and you can also email us at radioluvworldwide@gmail.com or my personal email at Savvy@radioluv.com or you can give me a call at 541-702-1360.

Ken:     Savvy, thanks for taking time out of your busy day.  I know you have probably a hundred things going on all at one time and it’s tough to get away for a brief moment, but I appreciate you being on the show today and taking the time.  Thank you.

Savvy:     Thank you so much Ken.
