Some people are able to adapt to change and to learn things as they change and other people where that’s going on and then all of a sudden they feel like the train pass some by and then you’d be catch up because their business needs to stay caught up.
Les: Exactly and I’m seeing a lot of businesses where the trains passing them by. In my world of social business strategy, QR codes are dead but they’re still being used a lot by organizations and things to that nature, but businesses that are just now recognizing social media … The guys that I run around with kind of laughed and say, “Well, they missed it.”
I’m from a different point of view. They may have missed the first part of it, but it doesn’t mean they can’t get up to speed quickly and make it a part of their culture and a part of their organization or a part of their strategy.
Craig: Right, so it’s not too late at all.
Les: No, it’s not too late at all.
Craig: Let me ask you, was there anything that you had wanted to add that maybe I just didn’t think to ask you about, that way, we get a chance to talk about it today?
Les: I don’t think so. The biggest key point that I wanted to make was that we’re an organization that has been around for six years so we passed the five year mark. We have some really strong partnerships with companies like a company over in Australia that we do a lot of business with and also we use the methodology that’s called a whole brain, that’s a trademark for international.
We’re partnered with a lot of really good organizations that have positioned as well to move forward. Like the other portions of social media, what we’ve seen is we are getting a lot more interest now than we were three years ago because even though we were doing the same thing three years ago and keeping up with the trends and understanding how to bridge the gap, companies are actually seeing the importance of it now and understanding they need to bridge that gap or they won’t have a company.
That’s the biggest key point is that I think companies are now in a position and looking for a place. A lot of them are now hiring internal social media positions and I think our company can help those internal people and those businesses jump ahead of their competitors based on the knowledge that we bring to the table.
Craig: The only last thing that I wanted to ask you is do you have a particular website or particular social media that you want me to include so that if people want to learn more about your company, they could go ahead and visit that website or find you on a particular area of social media?
Les: Yes. Our website is being redone right now, but they can still see our old website which is not the greatest, but it is at Orange-sms.com. Then the Facebook page is Social Media Solutions.
Craig: I will definitely include those, that way people who are reading about it and recognizing their company and saying, “I really need to take care of this. We’ll be able to kind of follow up and find you.”
