Business Success Interview with Chiropractic Doctor Djorn Bain, D.C., Owner of Revive My Spine in Dallas, Texas

Glasper: Wow. That is amazing. Oh my goodness. What inspired you to go from DJing to becoming a Chiropractor?

Dr. Bain: Yes. I went from DJing. I was always a Dj while I was in college, and did weddings, and huge events and so forth. The drive to be a Chiropractor was because I learned through listening to people like Napoleon Hill, Les Brown, the Carnegie system, Think and Grow Rich, I learned that the most important thing, and if you want to live a fulfilled life, I should say, first off, the most important thing is to seek a career that serves people.

I got in a car wreck years ago. I was going to the Chiropractor and the Chiropractor said to me, “Hey what are you doing with your life?” I said, “I mean, I’m just DJing, I’m just having a good time. He says to me, “What do you want to do?” I said, “Well I want to do something impactful. I thought about Chiropractic a long time ago.”

He says, “Well, why don’t you do it?” I went, “You know what? I will.” I called the school the following day and I went up there, signed some paper work, started a week and a half later, and here we are.

Glasper: Wow. I love it. You are definitely making a huge impact in people’s lives. Thank you so much for sharing that story because I’ve always wondered how did you go from DJing to a doctor? Come on now (laughs).

Dr. Bain: Everybody, they’re like really? What caused this, what happened? (laughs)

Glasper: Yes I was thinking the same. All right, just a couple more questions for you. What’s the most important thing that people should consider when they’re evaluating a Chiropractor to choose?

Dr. Bain: Okay. It’s similar to that of a Dentist or a Medical doctor. Okay? It’s similar to that of purchasing something on Amazon. You want the reviews. You want to ask other people. You want to see live updates about how that Chiropractor treats his or her patients, what services they can expect.

My advice to people is to always fully question the Chiropractor. Ask him or her about their history. Where they went to school? Ask them about their family life. Are they family driven? Are they more of a sport driven type of Chiropractor?

There are different types of Chiropractors. There are Chiropractors who only deal with Pediatrics, with kids. There are Chiropractors who only deal with Geriatrics or only deal with pregnant people. You want to make sure that you get a Chiropractor that focuses in the realm of what you need, and the services you need. Okay? You won’t go to a sports Chiropractor if all you have is just a toe problem, right? You want to go to a Chiropractor that deals with toes or feet. Research the Chiropractor. Figure out what strengths they have, what field they’re in, and that will get you to the best decision.

Glasper: Thank you. You’ve shared some good advice, because I honestly thought a Chiropractor was a Chiropractor was a Chiropractic. I didn’t know that there were specialty areas. That’s was a great myth to debunk. How can someone find out about Revive My Spine here in Dallas? I know that you also take the HSA cards, so if anybody has a Wage Works card and wants to see a chiropractor for their pain, then they can come see you, and that’s fully covered by their card and Health Savings Account. Tell us how people can find you.

Dr. Bain: Okay. There are a couple of ways. You can call directly. The number is 817-900-2851 or you can jump on Facebook and look up Revive My Spine. You can also look up Revive Injury and Rehab on Facebook or you can go online and you could go to your web browser and type in www.revivemyspine.com, and that will take you to our website where you can do bookings from there.

Glasper: Great. Thank you for sharing your story and passion for helping people heal their bodies with chiropractic care. Best wishes to you with your practice. I know you will continue to attract the right kind of patients who need what you offer. Please keep us posted on your journey.
