He recovered for a week and then had the drain tube removed and it was at this time that I asked his surgeon … “Do you think, in your opinion, that he was recovering quicker and looked better?” His surgeon said: “I do. That’s why I released him early.” Two weeks later he was in the yard doing light yard work. Three weeks later we hiked two and a half miles. His overall recovery time was about four weeks. Not six to eight.
Carol: Just remarkable.
Lauri, what is the average time for a non-heavily compromised person that does a systemic detox?
Lauri: Well, an original detox, unless you’re dealing with a crisis, would be a month and then after that it is maintenance. You’re just maintaining and trying to get and stay ahead of the exposure and accumulation.
I do have one other story that deals with a friend’s friend. His name is Don and his is in his 80’s. He had a hair analysis done in early June, where his heavy metal levels were off the charts. He started detoxing systemically and after about six weeks, he had a recheck done and his overall heavy metals dropped 91%.
Carol: Nice! Lauri, is there anything that we didn’t cover that you would want everyone to know?
Lauri: Anytime I share information about heavy metal toxicity on social media, I get a backlash, so I always encourage people to do research. Just research foods with heavy metals. Research your symptom(s) and add heavy metals. As I mentioned earlier, organic food, organic vegetables and dark leafy greens tend to contain more contaminants from the soil. So really, there is no clean eating anymore. Nothing is clean. Heavy metals and toxins truly are the root cause of all health situations and there is hope for a resolution.
Carol: Any myths around systemic detoxification?
Lauri: Some common myths I hear often are, “as long as I sweat, I know I’m detoxing” or “I do ionic baths, so I know my body is detoxing.” Another myth that becomes an obstacle for people is the cost. They often tell me: “it’s not in my budget,” but they can’t see the price they are paying for recovery or maintenance with medications. Prevention over recovery is always a better option, at least to me it is, whatever the cost.
Carol: Is there a special message from your heart you’d like to share?
Lauri: my message would be to think about or ask yourself whether you, as far as your health goes, are looking for partial body health or if you would rather look into complete and whole body health because, whole body health is what will help you avoid and prevent illness versus having to deal with a recovery process. Also, to consider whether your current detox protocol is the right one, is it what it says it is or is it the most effective.
Carol: Your bottom of your heart reason for doing this work?
Lauri: My reason is because I have struggled in my own areas. I’ve seen my kids struggle with their own health situations and knowing that there is a way to help your body heal itself, I can’t sit back and not share what that is.
Carol: Is that the type of legacy that you’d like to leave?
Lauri: That is my prayer, yes. People that I’m currently helping know I care. I wouldn’t give my time the way that I do if I didn’t. I’m there to help them, walk with them, and I get excited with them when they notice even the smallest changes.
Carol: How has being a wellness coach benefited you personally or professionally?
Lauri: Personally, it has taught me what it means to live with an illness and disease-free body. Alot of people think that health is maintaining a symptom, but that just isn’t normal. That’s just what we’ve been taught to believe. There is something about a ‘cleaner’ body. Considering what we’ve been doing for well over a year, and that we’ve not been sick at all: no coughs, no sneezes and sniffles, nothing, tells me that our bodies are healthy because a healthy cell cannot be sick.
Professionally: it has taught me to really stop and listen to the concerns that others have. Whether it’s a minor or a major situation, it gives me the chance to offer hope and share what I know and to be able to walk with them on their journey, if they want to choose the path similar to ours.
Carol: Thank you so much Lauri for being here and sharing all of this valuable and usable information!
