Welcome to Business Innovators Magazine…Please introduce yourself and a brief thumbnail sketch of your background.


EA: Hello, I am Coach Ed Adamowicz, and for the past 13 years have dedicated myself to helping people change their lives for the better and as a two-time cancer survivor fighting cancer. As one of only two Certified Professional Career Coaches (CPCC’S) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I offer a suite of services designed to find that next logical career/life opportunity sooner rather than later. My 3 E-books deal with securing interviews, scoring offers and acing your next performance evaluation. As a former college football coach, NFL Scout and Director of Recruiting for a Fortune 100 company I believe I am poised to deliver a high level of expertise to my clients.

BI: What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?

EA: Gifted with a vocation to teach and coach and having been an actual on-the-field, court and diamond coach my mission is to impart my extensive knowledge to people who strive to be 10 percenters. There are actually plenty of jobs out there, I best serve those individuals with a proven track record of success and a desire to pursue a rewarding and purposeful career/life…not just find a job.

BI: How are you different than your competitors?

EA: Known as The Contrarian Coach my methods focus on “delivering the goods” directly to decision-makers as opposed to sending documents to the job boards and dealing with Human Resources. I’ve also been called “the get-after-it coach” by my consumer clients based on my detailed game plan and the fact that I commit to my clients the fact that I will stay with them until they achieve career search success and will not allow them to lose. My corporate clients can expect the most comprehensive needs analysis concerning Talent Acquisition in the market today. Saving EMC Corporation $20M on cost-per-hire in one fiscal year qualifies me as a Subject Matter Expert in the field.

BI: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?

EA: Results matter and tracking my individual client’s accomplishments realizing their landing opportunities of their choice in one-third the time gives me a great sense of pride. Publishing 3 E-Books with 7 on-line retailers, most notably Amazon, and soon bundling them as “The Career Design Trilogy” will undoubtedly provide a vast customer base with a low-price-point solution to their career search needs.

BI: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?

EA: Having been fortunate enough to report to several giants in my past including my days as an athletics coach as well as learning from “get-it-done” business leaders allowed me to formulate my own strategies. Qualities such as creating a positive climate for success as well as commanding loyalty along with an overwhelming initiative and drive to achieve results have been staples of influencing my own policies and procedures.

BI: What has been a key element of your success?                            

EA: I consider the many skills I’ve honed through the years and a unique understanding of the human condition allow me to offer the kind of intuitive insight that propel individual clients and professional audiences alike to win! Hiring a staff of 28 professionals and formulating the metrics that resulted in a major victory for my business entity went a long way to building a foundation for future successes.

BI: What are some of the business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?

EA: The business is embarking on several initiatives designed to project what are considered the most comprehensive career offerings in the marketplace today to a global audience. I’m well into my 4th book featuring the key ingredients that corporate America can rely on to fashion a no-nonsense approach to recruiting, hiring, training and managing a worldwide workforce. A comprehensive blueprint regarding saving on cost-per-hire while significantly improving time-to-fill, quality of hire and tracking recruiting competency under the heading of Talent Acquisition will be well-received.

BI: What are 1 or 2 things you would like to say to a prospective client who stumbles across this interview?

EA: Obviously a phone call or E-mail after visiting our on-line presence will be greatly appreciated. If not interested for one’s self, a referral to a colleague that results in our ability to assist such a person would also be welcome.

BI: To wrap this up, what are you most excited about in the upcoming months in your business?

EA: As I mentioned earlier, embarking on several exciting business endeavors has me “jacked to the max!” Growing a company that I founded over 13 years ago and taking it to a new level has an extremely attractive quality to it and will provide a great sense of accomplishment. The completion of a corporate consulting handbook thereby allowing small to mid-size companies a path to recruiting excellence will provide a very rewarding business win and hopefully a financial success as well.
