PF: Hello, my name is Paul Forsberg, and I help forward-thinking business owners get top dollar for their business.I do this by evaluating the health, value and salability of their business and together, we come up with a plan of action that can begin very next day so they can increase the value of their business. So when the time comes, they can sell it for Top Dollar and walk away wealthy.
As a serial Entrepreneur myself, over the past 35 years and 16 different businesses under my belt, I come from a place of actual hands on – up to your elbows in the mud experience.
As a Business Advisor and Broker, I’ve also reviewed hundreds of other businesses and business sales.
I know what it takes to make a business scalable, valuable, and sellable. I know what buyers want, I know what the lenders require & look for, and I know how to put a deal together.
BI: What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?
PF: I truly enjoy working with entrepreneurs and helping them make adjustments to their operation so they can take their business from something that exists only because of them, and turn it into something that operates somewhat independently of their direct participation so the business serves the lifestyle of the owner instead of the owner serving the business.
BI: How are you different than your competitors?
PF: No other business broker does what we do. None of them have the actual hands-on business experience we do, and if they do, none of them are willing to work as hard at it as we do.
BI: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?
PF: When my wife and I bought the business brokerage business, it was nothing more than a dot on the wall in the industry. Fast forward 30 months, and we now control over 22% of the business transaction dollar volume of the surrounding 7 counties.
Statistics indicate only 20% of businesses listed for sale actually sell, and 70% of the business sold sell at a discount.
My company sells 95% of our engagements, and 95% of them are at the full asking price or higher. Another HUGE accomplishment over the others.
BI: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?
PF: I love leadership qualities of the ones that don’t listen to the media or other sources. The true leaders do their own research, pull up their pants, roll up their sleeves and get to work
BI: What has been a key element of your success?
PF: I work harder than most people I know. I’m willing to do what it takes and I know what business I am in.
I practice what I preach and follow The 5 Fundamental Elements – The proof is in the pudding because our transactions are over 622% higher than other Florida business brokers.
BI: What are some of the business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?
PF: I am writing a book that will help business owners and entrepreneurs operate their business profitably, it will help them increase the value of their business without them having to work any harder than they already do.
The book will also help prospective entrepreneurs learn what they need to know before they buy a business and hopefully help them avoid some of the many pitfalls and mistakes most business buyers make as well.
I am becoming a well-known speaker within the local business community and am just beginning to expand into the Orlando Metro area, and hopefully will be on the National Circuit.
After expanding into business coaching and consulting, I have been approached by one of the Nation’s Top Sales Trainers to be one of his referral sources because most if not all of his clients need my help.
BI: What are 1 or 2 things you would like to say to a prospective client who stumbles across this interview?

After working so hard for so many years, sacrificing your time, your family, your friends and lord knows what else, the last thing you want to do after all of those years of hard work and sacrifice is sell your business for less than it’s worth.
