Carol: There has already been some great advice and direction within some of what you have shared. Let’s discuss results you’d like our readers to experience or have from this article this month, ok?
Karyn: Yes. I’d like our readers to:
1. Offer hope to the man/men in their lives by offering words of comfort and encouragement.
2. Dwell on the positive and dismiss the negative.
3. Nag Less and Validate More. The men in your life deserve to be admired vocally for the positive aspects of their personality.
4. Compliment the men in your life with a positive text, email, note of appreciation or phone call.
5. Learn to forgive and release the sorrows that the man/men in your life have done to you (knowingly or unknowingly) that have caused you to mourn.
6. Send an apology letter or a note of gratitude and appreciation for the good that you have found in one or more of the men in your life.
7. Turn to Christ when you are looking for a flawless, perfect man and stop expecting a mortal man to be your cure-all, heal-all, mend-all for all your hidden hurts and wounds.
Carol: Those would be great results. I am certain there are women who will take these to heart and with success, their men will certainly take notice.
Carol: What are 3 simple steps to have or find “Hope in the Mourning?”
Karyn: After going through many marital mishaps (divorces) and having experienced the highs and lows of mothering sons, I have realized how important it is to:
1. Validate, encourage, uplift and forgive our sons, brothers, fathers and husbands daily!
2. We can look for the positive attributes in the men in our lives!
3. We can voice our appreciation for their contributions and encourage them through praise, offering respect, viewing them through the eyes of acceptance, and extending mercy, love and compassion when they go through their own silent times of fear, self-doubt, mourning, grieving and more!
Carol: and they certainly do. It’s not just women who go through silent times of fear, self-doubt, mourning, grieving and so many of the other multitudes of emotions and trials we can all experience. I am very pleased that we addressed the men in our lives, across the world and honored Fathers’ Day !
Once again, you have given us all very helpful insights and suggestions. Our readers have been enjoying this specific addition of tips and results hoped for that we’ve now included in our monthly conversations.
Thank you Karyn for meeting with me again today. It was truly a very favorable decision for us to embark on our “2019: The Year of Joy Series.”
