Ciji Siddons: Successful Business Leader Interview

Welcome to Business Innovators Magazine…Please introduce yourself and a brief thumbnail sketch of your background.

CS: My name is Ciji Siddons, and I’m from NJ. I was introduced to network marketing without realizing it six years ago through a powerful product experience. At the time, I was a miserable, broke, and broken waitress and bartender from the Jersey Shore. At 28 years old, I made the decision to go to graduate school to find a career for myself that I could fall in love with. I grew up with a father who always said, “Find what you love to do and find a way to get paid for it” and while that was such a blessing, there were times it felt more like a curse because I struggled to find anything that could do that statement justice. When I enrolled in grad school, I was very aware that being a full-time student wouldn’t allow me to continue working the amount of hours waitressing and bartending that I was accustomed to and decided to take a look at the network marketing opportunity. Needless to say, it’s transformed my life in ways I could never adequately express. I finished grad school and in the same month, I left my bartending job. I knew at that moment that I’d never be sending resumes or searching CareerBuilder for a job because I found my calling in entrepreneurship. I now live the life of my dreams and do it alongside my friends, my family, and people I love the most.

BIM What would you say is the area in business that you are most passionate about and why?

CS: I’m most passionate about the personal growth required to create success. I truly believe that my income will grow to the extent that I’m willing to grow myself and in the end, the greatest payoff is becoming the person I deserve to be.

BIM: How are you different than your competitors?

CS: I don’t really consider “competitors.” I think there are many amazing companies, amazing products, etc. and I believe there’s abundance and opportunity for all. I bring an honesty and realness to everything I do because I’m so invested in the process that this kind of endeavor can take people through.

BIM: Please tell me about any recent business accomplishments that you are most proud of and why?

CS: My most recent accomplishments are becoming a millionaire in my company at the age of 31, becoming an ambassador for the Gen Y movement in our company, I’ve won several trips including Hawaii, Paris, and Saint Thomas for business growth.

BIM: What Leadership qualities in Leaders do you most admire and why?

CS: I admire those who are willing to be real and even vulnerable about their journey. I think there’s power in showing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I’m inspired by people who do what they say, who practice what they preach, and who stand in integrity.

BIM: What has been a key element of your success?: A key element in my success has been my consistency and persistence. I was not an “overnight success”, and there were many struggles, challenges, and wall kicking moments but it was my consistency and persistence that saw me through. I didn’t know exactly where I was going or what I was doing, but I was unwilling to stay stagnant. Consistency is always the most glamorous, but I believe it’s the most powerful.

BIM: What are some of business projects that you are currently working on that you are excited about and why?

CS: I’m always excited by the people I work with and mentor. I love watching the light bulb go off in people when they realize there’s more to life than they may have previously believed and they are willing to go for it, no matter the fear, insecurity, doubt, or resistance. Growth in myself and others excites me.

BIM: What are 1 or 2 things you would like to say to a prospective client who stumbles across this interview?

CS: I’m not special. As much as I’d like to think I am, I truly believe that anyone can create the level of success they desire. I’m so passionate about the network marketing profession because it levels the playing field. Is success guaranteed? Absolutely not. Is the opportunity for success present for everyone? Yes, it comes down to the individual and the time, effort, and energy they are willing to bring to their own journey. I think most people quit before they even truly commit.

BIM: To wrap this up, what are you most excited about in the upcoming months in your business?

CS: I’m excited to continue watching the people I work with reach their goals and live their dreams. There’s nothing more incredible than seeing others step into their power, own their greatness, and really create success for themselves in whatever way they define it.
